Carmichael Student Center - Kennesaw Campus: HVAC Modifications and Shutdown May 19, 2026 05:00 - May 20, 2026 13:30 EDT

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the HVAC system of the Carmichael Student Center on Tuesday, 5/19 and Wednesday, 5/20 from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Acid Neutralization Tank Cleanout - Multiple Sites, Kennesaw and Marietta Campuses May 20, 2026 07:00 - May 21, 2026 13:00 EDT

We will be performing a routine cleanout of acid neutralization tanks. On Wednesday, May 20, tanks will be cleaned out at the Civil Engineering Building, Textile Building, and G-Lab Annex. On Thursday, May 21, tanks will be cleaned out at the Visual Arts Building, Science Building, and Science Lab Building.

Scheduled Road/Parking Lot Maintenance - Carmichael Student Center May 27, 2026 08:00-17:00 EDT

We will be performing scheduled maintenance at the Carmichael Student Center on Wednesday, May 27. The impact will cause short-term blockages of the sidewalk areas and landscaping around the student center porch seating area. The side entry doors (parking lot side) will be impacted for up to two hours. The machine being used will produce some loud noises that might be heard in Math/Stats, Sturgis, and Carmichael.

Scheduled - Impact Details:
Description & Location: Electrical feeds from generators will be re‑worked, requiring a full building power outage for the Public Safety building and Norton Hall. Emergency‑powered devices will remain operational.
Schedule:
Full Building Outage for 351Public Safety: Tuesday, May 12 from 5:00 AM-5:00 PM
-Additional Power Interruptions (not full outages): Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15 during transfer back to normal/on‑generator power.
Reason: Plant Operations will be reworking power feeds and generators to fully support police operations at the Public Safety building and Norton Hall. This work ensures continuity of operations during emergencies.
Logistics:
Non‑emergency devices (HVAC, office receptacles and lighting, vending, copiers, and break‑room appliances) will be without power for the full outage but will not be affected by the brief power interruptions on May 11 and 15 for Public Safety building.
Essential emergency‑powered systems (life‑safety lighting, Police Dispatch, networking equipment, and door access) will remain operational during the outage but may experience brief blips during the transfer activities on those dates.
No detours or access restrictions are expected for each building.
