Elevator #2 Outage in West Deck (P60) on Marietta Campus

Scheduled - Our team is still continuing to address the elevator outage at the West Deck on the Marietta Campus (aka P60 Deck). We are in the process of obtaining the necessary parts to conduct repairs. Updates on our progress will be provided as the repairs continue.
Impact: Elevator #2 is currently out of order. The other elevator in the parking deck is in service.

Terminal Unit and Energy Recovery Unit Replacement - 402 Social Sciences Building
Update - TU demolition will begin on the 3rd floor and the main air handler for the floor will be turned off and will be turned on by July 10.

Scheduled - We will be performing major scheduled utility maintenance at 402 Social Sciences starting on June 23 through August 7.
Impact: This project involves replacing the Terminal Units and the Energy Recovery Unit for the building. The project will be taking place at the Social Sciences building, but other surrounding areas including Bartow Avenue and the Visual Arts Loading Dock areas will be impacted.
On June 23, the Terminal Unit replacement will begin with floor protection and ceiling removal on the fifth floor, progressing downward through the building.
From June 30 through August 7, TU demolition will be taking place on a different floor each week. During this time, the main air handler for the floor will be turned off.
From July 7-9, Bartow Avenue will be closed due to the crane and other equipment that will be used to install the new Energy Recovery Unit. On July 8-9, the 4th and 5th floors will need to be vacated.

Scheduled - We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the glass elevator (services from the 1st floor atrium/dining area to the 2nd floor lobby) at the Wilson Student Center starting on Friday, June 6 to Friday, August 15.
During this time, the glass elevator will be completely offline. Alternatively, patrons can use the elevator located towards the North entrance (next to the spiral staircase).

Update - There is work that will be done this Saturday, 4/19 that will involve a large crane. Work is scheduled for 7:00 AM-3:00 PM. Both the 3rd and 4th floors will be primarily impacted by the project along with the loading dock areas for Burruss Building and the Commons. It is essential that those areas remain unoccupied during this timeframe. No utilities will be affected.

Scheduled - Boiler Plant Project begins today, Monday, April 7 and will be completed by mid-July. This will involve demolition of the existing boiler system, construction to the surrounding area on the roof, and installation of new equipment. The heating component of the HVAC system will be non-operational starting today and will remain so throughout the month of April. The HVAC air conditioning system and the hot water heating system in the building will remain unaffected.

Scheduled Utility Maintenance - Sewer Line Replacement outside of Hornet Village
Completed - We are pleased to confirm that the sewer repair work outside of Hornet Village on the Marietta Campus has been completed. The new sidewalk is open for pedestrian use; however, vehicle access should be restricted until after July 21st to allow the concrete to properly cure for 30 days.

Scheduled - A sewer line replacement is in progress between two manholes located in front of Hornet Village, extending from Building 100 to the entrance of Building 200.
Work will begin on Thursday, June 5 and is expected to conclude on Sunday, June 15.
The sidewalk along the K-Field side of Hornet Village will not be accessible. Alternatively, pedestrians may use the pathway adjacent to the West Residence Lot or the sidewalk connecting Lot G to Alumni Walk.

Scheduled - We will be performing scheduled maintenance outside of Kennesaw Hall starting on Monday, 5/26.
A contractor will be performing construction work on the concrete and paver surfaces surrounding the 'Tea House' (gazebo) area. We do not anticipate any disruption to the pathway from the Convocation Center to Kennesaw Hall. However, due to ongoing construction activities involving noise, dust, and debris, we recommend that patrons use alternative entrances to Kennesaw Hall, such as the rotunda area near the Registrar's Office or the Northwest entrance near the Bagwell Building.

Completed - We are pleased to confirm that the electrical maintenance in Kennesaw Hall has been completed. The system has been tested, and the power is now fully operational. The HVAC system has been reactivated; please be advised that it may take some time for the building to reach the desired temperature.

Scheduled - We will be performing scheduled electrical maintenance at Kennesaw Hall starting at 5AM on Thursday, June 19-Saturday, 21.
Impact: The switchgear on the electrical power system in Kennesaw Hall will be replaced and the power will be off throughout this time, except for equipment operating on emergency power. Internet access will be unavailable during this time. If individuals forward their phone numbers prior to the outage, call forwarding and voicemail functions will remain active. However, if numbers are not forwarded in advance, only voicemail will be available during the downtime.
