Impact Details
Description & Location: A contractor will be installing metal plates over the storm drains behind the Carmichael Student Center at the loading dock area. This work requires the plates to be installed, bolted down, and asphalt to be laid around the edges. The asphalt will need to cure overnight.
Schedule: This portion of Owl Drive will be closed starting at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17 through 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18.
Reason: This closure is necessary to complete storm drain plate installation and ensure proper curing of the surrounding asphalt.
Logistics: The affected portion of Owl Drive will be inaccessible during the closure period. Please plan alternate travel routes and avoid the loading dock area behind the Student Center during these times. Only the road is impacted; building access to the Student Center remains available through the 1st‑level South Entrance and the 2nd‑level East Entrance.
